Some items I found today at a local shop:

M43 Gymnastiorka and E. German blumentarn pack :

I'm not an expert on WWII stuff but can anyone tell me what the significance is of the subdued shoulder boards (if any)?

I also picked up these Y-straps and I'm not sure what exactly they are... Perhaps someone can identify them for me? They look similar to WWII German Y-straps but they seem to be in too good of shape:

I also picked up an East German Strichtarn Zeltbahn  and suspenders for the E. german trousers... Didn't think they were worth picturing. Got it all for $10!

That serves my purposes just fine as I was looking to do a 1950's impression with it.  Are they just typical subdued shoulder boards designed for combat duty for the infantry like on the later M69 uniforms or are they for some other troops? Thanks for the info!

The attached ones came a little later, i think late 50's early 60's. Branch insignia is not shown on them, hence they are subdued.

Those are Czechoslovakian.  Early Czech equipment looks very much like WWII German stuff, simply because much of the German equipment was produced in 'Bohemia and Moravia' (as it was called then), so they had the tools and the knowledge.
