Hey folks,

Saw this over on Arnie's Airsoft and thought I'd post it up. LCT is coming out with a few new AK models, the most interesting of which is a replica of the Romanian AIMR Carbine:

Looks like the FSB is slightly incorrect and they did not replicate the unique folding stock these are supposed to have, but it is still very cool. Cheers

Ive always wondered, was the shorty AK 47/AKM design like this one originally Russian? Or offspring from the Warsaw Pact countries or others?

The Soviets experimented with a short barreled AKMS but it never went into mass production. My guess is that other countries picked it up from there.

It was not a Russian production design- however that FS/GB combo is  Shock  The only thing AIMR about this thing is the donkey dong grip and the sling swivel instead of a stock- the rest are AK-104 parts and a M4 flash hider  whipped

The lack of a stock is massive fail- even if it is "correct" to some versions of it, it makes the gun very hard to use effectively.

I like it, would look nicer without the side rail and flash hider though

Slap a stock and a Kobra on there, and it'd be a great little CQB gun. I'd love to have one with a folding stock on it.

Probably cheaper to just get the LCT AK105 and put on a realsteel romanian handguard.

Clearly, left side is vastly superior.
