I'm on the Frontoweic.Com web site, and have noticed that there are two tabs, and so I'm wondering if anyone can help me out.

There are two tabs; one says "Immediate Reaction Unit", and the other says "Quick Reaction Unit", can anyone tell me what is the difference, and under what agency do these two tabs worn by soldiers fall under?

Could be EMCON I think it's called...  EMCOM?  Not sure. They wear orange though.

Comrades, thank you for your input.  Since these two patches are being sold on the Frontoweic.com website along with combat patches, unless you knew what you looking for; I would think that for the many of us who are not Polish, or Russian would know the difference between a combat Special Forces Patch, and a Ministry that is set up for general emergencies.

However; If I wore one of the patches, and matched it with one of the Russian Forestry, or Conservation patches, Any non-Russian player would think those patches are for a Spetznaz, or MVD miilitary unit....

So the joke would be on them - LOL

EMERCOM has no real counterpart in the western world (as many other things in Russia..), they do have acces to wepons and other military hardware for once:

Would the United States' FEMA not be an analogue to EMERCOM?

That will be the day seeing FEMA troops march down the streets with M16s in hand like in the picture above. Alex Jones would jizz his pants.  yelrotflmao

Somehow I get that since EMERCOM has a more military-style of organization and an actual command structure that they probably are more efficient than FEMA.

That wouldn't surprise me the least; since many Americans all believe that FEMA has its own secret Army ready to go into action when given the word.  They're also not too impressed with the UN, since there are also many who think the US Army is already being run by the UN.

But I can see a more practical reason for the armed security section, and that is physical security at the scene of a tremendous disaster, where the local Law Enforcement community cannot contain the incident, or waiting for the National Guard of that state to mobilize.

A security division that is lightly armed with M-16, 9mm pistols, and has some type of transportation such as its own transportation section; trucks, heavy lift helicopters, or even APC's.  Being the first with their lightly armed units, they would be able to go in, secure the contaminated area, and deal with looters, and even gangs who may take advantage of the few hours of confusion.  Then relinquish their command when the local Law Enforcement communty, and National Guard finally arrive....

Yes, I do like the concept of EMERCOM....

EMERCOM is awesome, and I'd love to do an impression for a CQB arena, if it weren't for the FUCKING IMPOSSIBILITY of getting those orange and gray camouflage uniforms.  There was a collector, now deceased, who used to post here and had a set in his amazingly vast collection.  Trident Military doesn't even pretend to have it in stock, and when THEY don't claim to have it, holy shit.
