I'll have a field trip to Lithuania. As we know is ex USSR state, near Kaliningrad, and Belarus... Is there ex soviet/russian/belarus military stuff cheaper and easily accessible(I think it, because I live in ex eastern-block-but not ex USSR state)?

Does anybody know military shops there in Vilnius???

Thanx!

There are several airsoft shops in Vilnius but none of them carry soviet gear. There is also one major military/camping gear supplier http://aic.lt/index.php (english available) but there is nothing special about it and they don't carry any soviet stuff. We usually buy and ship our gear from Russia.

Most of the soviet stuff is being sold through auctions website http://www.ginklupasaulis.lt/en/

I was about to say... Would you say the reason is the anti-russian sentiment among the populace and official policies of the three baltic states?

Ps. Not intending to discuss or start a discussion the actual policies or anything political, I was just interested in the above.

Don't think so, Kaliningrad is very close and several times a year airsoft players from Kaliningrad region come to play and bring anything we need. A lot of people also have contacts/friends in Russia so getting gear is not a big problem. I'd say 30% of players play eastern bloc, with AKs, soviet uniforms (KLMKs, KZSs and various Gorkas are among the most popular). There are several big airsoft teams using Russian gear. You can even often hear players speaking Russian.

There is no market for it. Old soviet medals and stuff like that is being sold in local markets but pretty much everyone has seen craploads of it even the younger population. Big airsoft events attract around 200 players here in Lithuania, so really there are around 50 people who buy Russian/Soviet gear and most of them are not collectors, just players.

Soviet gear is still popular among fishermen and hunters tough Smiley

There is no specialized military market. As far as I remember there is a market where collectors change/sell old stuff and coins on Saturday mornings but there isn't much good stuff there.
