Apparantly, the Polish retailer by the name of ASG Gunfire is making(?) or producing(?) a VSS Vintorez

French news article: http://www.airsoftnews.fr/2012/10/16/gunfire-devoile-un-nouveau-prototype-de-vss-vintorez/

Their facebook has a shooty video AK

 http://www.facebook.com/ASG.Gunfire

any European or Polish Red-Alliance members got any more info on this?

Is that a plastic stock or weirdly colored/finished wood?

Looks like it; otherwise it's one ugly-ass wood finish

I actually just want an AS Val stock conversion kit... heheheh

I wouldn't mind a mass produced as long as the inevitable tactic00l™ doesn't get their filthy hands on the VSS and they start attaching m4 stocks and m4 front end kits and more rails than Moscow's Central Station combined lol

In all seriousness it's probably too niche of a market so even if it was mass produced, I can only see a select few obtaining the VSS. Price would probably contribute to that factor too

EDIT:

Zeta Labs you say!?

MEANWHILE, AT AIRSOFT PANDA...

I do hope there is an ACM VSS because I just don't have $600 + to blow on a VSS that is taking 9000 years to come out. Hopefully it's steel though

true point. It's a disgraceful finish. The first thing I'd do is refinish it (if it is actually wood) or just calve and stain a new stock altogether. That's just an absolute monstrosity!

The receiver looks very flimsy because it looks like plastic if you look closely

Depending on price, I could live with decent metal... But plastic stock is unforgivable!

I'm sure they wouldn't make the receiver plastic on this type of gun. it would be inhumane to do such a thing!

"Mass produced VSS... Sad"

Why is that a problem? I'm glad that more and more people can and are playing airsoft. Stop being "elite"-boring collector. :-D

But, who did that stock..?!

If you follow the chain of pictures, they are the same as the ones from MIR tactical
http://www.facebook.com/MirTactical

And a representative of MIR stated that yes, it's ZL
http://www.red-alliance.net/forum/index.php?topic=17623.msg209302#msg209302

So we're back to square one in the Zeta labs VAL/VSS debate.

Only reason for that finish of wood:
Hold VSS with stock to front; pretend it is orange tip; shoot self.  AK
