I am not happy with ICS - they have been feeding us a line for so long - I trust no info from them. Once they are in the US and for sale I will buy one - until then I have other things to spend my $$ on.

Well, I just got back from my local dealers house. I went over there, and we called SD (The US dealer for ICS), and I have some bad news.

SD recieved several guns, tested them, and said there was really bad "spacing issues." I don't know what they are referring to in all honesty, but they told us that they will not look to be selling the ICS74M until late January/ early Febuary of 2006. I'm not telling all of you this so that you may cry, I just thought I'd pass on the news.

Also, intresting note, SD has permission from ICS to put SD trades on the 74, similiar to the way Airsoft Elite has their trades on ICS MP5's.

If I hear anything new I'll let you guys know ASAP. Sorry  Sad

NOTE: I am buying the first CA SLR to get into my dealers hands. YAY!

CA it is then.

Methinks these won't come out before the U.K. ban if it comes into action.

i contacted my friend Kent at Airsplat.com in the hopes of shedding some light on this subject (but it looks like solution_zero beat me to it).  i've been ‘working’ with Kent and his crew for more than a year now, doing reviews and collecting news.  according to him, ICS is shooting for a Holiday 2005 release.  CA’s AK74 should be coming out around the same time, though he is not sure if it will hit the market before the end of the year.

in a bit of good news, it looks like i might get a CA or ICS AK74 to review as soon as Airsplat gets them.  i’ve gotten the same info from Rick Kastner at Kastway Airsoft, and since we live about five minutes from each other, as soon as he gets a release model, I will too  Cheesy

I know this info conflicts, but I just wanted to share what I’ve got.  not great news, but as Owl said, something is better than nothing

I had to dig for a while to find this topic.  It was pretty far South from the top of the page!  Anyway:

Seems like we can buy some mags and then load them in anticipation of getting an ICS AK in the next four years!

Not even kidding, unless the ICS AK comes out tomorrow, gonna be a Guarder kit.

When it does come out i am going to see if the body will work with the marui ak, and just go that way, i do not have any thing against ICS, just everyone always says how many problems they get with them. Not sure, i have never had one, but i think i will trust all the people who complain about ICS guns.

does anyone already know if the body will be able to convert to the marui ak?

Not sure -it's a different gearbox.

I know hard to tell i just say that because I have just heard many bad things about  ICS in general, only thing i have heard that is decent is the MP5 series. So who knows, i sure hope it is nice, because they sure have spent a lot of time on it.

Agreed and i thank you all for it!

We'll just have to wait and see (ICS, CA or for some a Guarder kit)!
