Hmmm that is either going to be very good or VERY bad.

I get the feel of "the mutant chronicles" from this one, which is the worst film to curse my eyes in quite a while...

It looked rather good to me...but I sometimes enjoy cheesy sci-fi films.

The Mark of Cain. "a feature length documentary, explores the dying art of Russian prison tattoos and offers an understanding of conflict and transition in contemporary Russian prison system." A great, but some what depressing documentary. A must have. the director is Alix Lambert. There are some amazing tattoos and prison shots. I can get the email later to order if interested.

I was thinking a lot to post this movie or not. Чистилище is a movie about first Chechen war and it shows very close to that.
Made in 1997 and you better be +21 and strong character.
NO English subtitles sorry.
Little preview with Ramstein http://intv.ru/view/?film_id=12753
and the movie http://intv.ru/view/?film_id=10051

I recently bought the film ALEXANDRA (2007) off Amazon.co.uk.

The Russian in it is pretty basic for the most part but also has English subs. There is no fighting and there are no action sequences. However the film is about one of the women to went to the front line of Chechnya to try to find a relative or husband etc. (in this case a grandson) amongst the combat units.

The film follows Alexandra, a Russian pensioner as she stays in a military base with her son, an officer in the army. She goes around the barracks meeting soldiers and hearing about their experiences and then takes a trip to the market in town with similar results.

It's basically an anti-war film and very artistically shot etc. but it's also interesting to see what gear the Russian soldiers are using!

Comrades! soviet flag For those who fan of soviet era: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_on_the_Moon

A group of journalists are investigating a highly secret document when they uncover a sensational story: that even before the Second World War, in 1938, the first rocket was made in the USSR and Soviet scientists were planning to send an orbiter to the moon and back. The evidence is convincing; it is clear that in this case, Russian cosmonauts were first.  rofl

Looking for English version myself! Pls help if you find one!  AK 56K
