trouble with duping the real one is it isnt just shorter its more angular and has a flat rear surface best way would be to build the rear curve up with chemical metal etc then flatten it back down

^ cast of real bolt carrier

^ real one versus typical airsoft (If memory serves me right I photographed it alongside a VFC one)

Well, Snorkelman, I'm just going for semi-authentic. Wink Thanks very much for the illustrative picture though, I think I'll have to try that next time!

Updating the grips section as I type this.

*edit - grips updated!

Updated the wood a tiny bit, I'm gonna add the third coat tonight and the clearcoat tomorrow. Sorry for the non-essential update, dookieboy is quite the impatient sort.

Thanks, Marco.

I've updated the wood section with the last stain. Next we're gonna clear coat it and then stamp it with the last 3 numbers of the serial number.

I've also added section headings to the Miscellaneous section of the guide. Much as I love the coolness of the VFC mechanism, there's two huge drawbacks to installing it after-the-fact(ory).

Finally finished the wood section. I apologize for the abysmal photos, I'm limited with my options. I promise a complete photo shoot at the end!

Here's a photo I just snapped in the twilight:

It doesn't have a modified stock yet, because I'm still experimenting on another stock. I may just buy a real one, I haven't decided - I don't know of anyone who carries them. Oh, and it's got a VFC AIMS PMC pistol grip on it too.
